last week in review....

thurs - ORD function

when in was in the force, my team had tis practice to celebrate the nsf's completion of the obligatory 2 years wif a farewell ceremony. my was combined wif KC's and was held last thurs at aloha loyang. first time there n lets say the 1st impression was quite gd. we were in a poolside terrace (my first chalet wif a pool!) wif a view of the sea too...
met up wif the guys at the shengshiong opp stn n we went to the chalet 2gether in a van suban rented... the trip was interesting - starting out wif a few slightly embrassing but on the whole entertaining occurance like finding out hw big the van's fuel tank is (normally a mundane ting but wif tis guys, even the mundane bcoms interesting! haha)
overcame my reservations n went swimming in my clothes (didn't bring swimming gear!) n was treated to haikal's potato salad n toby's performance. on the whole, i did enjoy tis chalet more then the rest but i at a lost for the reason... mayb i was no longer hw ridiculas i was???
anw, my sincere thx to all hu organised/attended/planned/contributed to my farewell...




fri - SJI sports dae!
a last minute appt... manage to get SARS to help me drive the alpha (thx lotz bro) to ToaPayoh stadium... almost no cases but gt a few things to say...
1. SARS + VKP + no map + vehicle = 80% chance of getting lost haha
we got lost trying to get there and got lost trying to get back... haha at least we kinda rmber to the route to ttsh n kkh
2. im surprised so many teachers frm SJI recognized me haha (nt so many recognized me while i was an officer at SJI lol)
3. i have to say a BIG thank you to ALL who helped to pull tis last min duty off from QZ from loaning me the equipment to SQ 4 helping me get the equipment to SARS 4 driving the veh to even ST from lending me the veh at such very short notice...
* thx to all the others i've bothered by my request 4 drivers too...



sat - steamboat dinner!!
went to HQ for smeting n saw the other peeps frm my zone at the AED course... hope they did alrite at it(heard horror stories abt it)!!! then later went out to hav dinner at the steamboat at GMC. nvr quite liked it cos i've always been a conservative eater preferring my food cooked b4 being served to me haha but im getting used 2 the idea... in any case, my company enjoyed the fd...

aft all my apprehension abt steamboat dinner, guess where i went 4 dinner on sun - u're rite! steamboat again!!! haha lol nothing much but i did not feel tat it was rite 4 him 2 treat us 4 doing our job.... but i guess if it makes him happi...

it was quite a boring week punctuated with lotz of peeps b'dae... haha. it onli got less mundane when the wkend came arnd...

Temasek Regatta 2007 / Week zero Orientation Jam and Hop night

it was erm... an i-opener if nt anyting else. my 1st 'dragon boat' duty not very xciting but i guess it was interesting seeing how sum ppl prepared for the race wif their "up down up down up down..." haha. cases i encountered? splinters in feet... but poor SO. when i left for a sum time in the aftnoon to attend another evt he encountered an influx of cases at 1 pt of time stretching his resources... but all went well in the end... met the mfss peeps again cos they helped to cover the duty
in the aftnoon n oso met sum former ftp peeps hu helped to cover the 'jamming n hopping' part of the nite. hmmm my BP taking skills n bandaging skills still gt lotz of rm 4 improvement!

Photoquiz 2008

my 1st time at a tertiary lvl FA quiz/competition. it quite gd to noe tat sum ppl take the trouble to maintain n improve their FA skills n knowledge even while being bz wif their hectic JC schedule... its was n enjoyable xperience i wld say n i was quite impressed wif sum of the ppl i saw there - the skills n knowledge they xibited (tis "ppl" does not onli incld the competitors but oso the organizers as well) kudos goes to organizers esp the 3 hu had to 'tahan' my nonsense when it came time to finalize the scores (u three will noe hu u are though i doubt any will read my blog... haha but if u r... thx for ur help in the judging n patience in listening to my 'crap' when toking at the back of the LT...)
gt sumting nice from them... flowers! n real ones too!!! not to mention the other memorabilia. haha im quite astonished at the trouble they went thru juz to get me that token of appreciation.. (will upload photos sum other time...)

Zone 3 Games Day...

went 2 sji a little too late to catch any of the competition but was veri impressed n happi wif the school's response... all in all, 7 out of 9 schools participated in the event. i wld that it was a success cos it allowed the diff schools 2 meet in a non FACOM/NCOC/AGI setting n reali interact wif one another... we hav onli managed to hold few of such activities so far... muz reali thank the peeps frm sji inlcding the two Mr Kohs (Gary n Marcus), the other sji TICs n oso the peeps from the participating schools 4 contributing to the success of the evt

anw, since we were alrdy there, SO suggestion playing badminton so there we were, SO, SARS, Gary Koh (the one tat inspired me 2 bcom an officer) n urs truely (myself) stretching, running, smacking and more often then not - picking the shuttlecocks of the grnd... haha. I did really enjoyed myself (though i suppose i 'threw' my face trying to play badminton... nw i guess sum of the sac peeps noe hw bad i am at sports haha) but ya... those were.. i guess one of those happi / relaxing moments that r few n far in between....

on a closing note,

the duty was more of a show for the eyes rather than the dispensing of FA knowledge n skills... got to c my EC. she a little taller nw i looks a little more naughty??? haha anw i got a new EC whom i n SO hav nicknamed 'Headache Girl' haha though the name dun really describe her its certainly a unique name! haha hopefully i get to c her sumtime soon... however,i hav decided tat she will not be more then sugar for my eyes... sadly...

went over to ytss quite late in the night to stayover cos the duty started at like 5++ in the morning... poor SO, made him wait in the Alpha at my carpark for more than an hr b4 i was finally ready


nope tats not the Alpha when its at my carpark but it is parked!!! hahaha lame i noe but thats me...

PD not much case for my side though we did respond to a casualty wif initial diagnoses of P1 type case but it turn out 2 be nothing really - i tink that was the first time i sat in an Alpha tat SO was driving to respond to a P1 case. i muz say he and the V-Com mr. R did an excellent job - balancing safety of traveling on the rd 2gether wif the urgency of needing to reach the charlie... eventually had to leave early to attend a HQ ceremony (thx to mr. D for the lift)

MFSS sports heats and sports day

the sports heats was held much earlier and the sports day more recently... got to use the dressings (which hav been sitting idle in my FA pouch 4 quite sum time).. haha but the peeps there did carry themselves n handle the charlies well. gd job guys!!!
later joined them of one of their corp events at MindsCafe... it was a real eye opener n throughout tat day gt to noe a different side of sum people n really gt to noe about them n hu they r n all... n i had fun! though in my usual style i didn't really part take in the games juz seeing tis ppl in a 'non sjab' context was fun n different

CAA presentation (thx Sars, DT and HS 4 accompanying me)its was rather cute wad sum ppl did n i was rather annoyed abt 1 ting though i rather nt mention it here...

i've started work but i muz say im really nt tat gd at it - perhaps i will get better wif time but i really can't c me doing tis all the way till aug...

i guess tats really abt it...

ps: to tat sme1... i noe its been difficult for you... srry i can't walk down tat path wif u cos its 1 better taken alone. but i will b waitin at the end n when u're ready, u will have ur answers...

when u nd ppl n no one steps up, im volunteered... nvm the fact tat u still belittle me n treat me like crap at times but i still stayed on. nw when u hav smeting interesting, u 4get me! bloody crap!
